Leon Hartnett is the cheery Irish host of Ceol and Craic on Radio Southland! Leon hails from Dublin, and moved to Invercargill with his wife 9 years ago to raise their family here. Since settling in Invercargill, Leon has set out to make a positive difference for our community, and has contributed to Invercargill's arts, culture and events scene. His Irish roots remain core to who he is - hence starting Ceol and Craic in 2017 - a fortnightly dose of banter, tunes, information and interviews, all from Ireland and Irish migrants to NZ - it's a fortnightly show that plays every Thursday at 8pm! Rach sits down with Leon on Other Side of the MIC to find out more about Leon, and his journey from Dublin to Invercargill!

Jack Lovett-Hurst started at Radio Southland with his show Jack's Knowledge Of Sport, where he recapped the week's sports news and shared his fav teams! Jack was then given the opportunity to work for Nga Kete Matauranga Pounamu Charitable Trust, his show focus changed to disability inclusion and employment. 'SOAR' (Securing Our Aspirational Realities), a programme offered through NKMPT, aims to grow whanau and community awareness and knowledge about service options, how to get needs met, and how to live full, enriched lives. On the radio show, he and his new co-host William, interview people in the community with disabilities, their whanau, and service providers about their stories, how they are reaching their dreams, and what needs services can assist with. Jack lives with muscular dystrophy but is an active figure in the Southland disabled sports scene, a gym fixture, handcyclist, and New York Marathon competitor. SOAR airs on Wednesdays at 12.10pm - replaying Fridays at 1.45pm

His love of radio started with a stint at our Kidzone Radio live broadcasts, and morphed into World Wide Wilson. Now nearly 18, he reflects on how his show has evolved over the years as he has grown up. Topics on his show include sharing his love of all things Japanese, open discussion about growing up with diabetes, gaming, anime and more. Another cornerstone in Wilson's life is a passion for community service and leadership.

Carl Mills (Millsy) is the host of Radio Southland's longest running rock show - Millsy Rocks! Millsy is a self-confessed rock and metal addict (add vinyl to his vices), and a veteran local broadcaster who found his playlist home here at Radio Southland. A rock musical writer, theatre restaurant MC, and long time supporter of the Kiwi and especially local Southland music scene. So much so that he was given a special award for Contribution to Southland Music at the 2018 Southland Entertainment Awards! Listen to find out more about Millsy!
